I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology from Boston University in 2025. I'm an incoming Assistant Professor of Sociology at Villanova University, starting in August 2026. Prior to joining Villanova, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Schwarzman College of Computing where I taught in the SERC Scholars Program and have collaborated on a project with Prof. Georg Rilinger, Prof. Arvind Karunakaran (Stanford), and Julie Seager (a PhD Candidate at MIT), examining computational thinking—how it’s applied to practical problems and how it differs from economic thinking.  

Using semi-structured interviews and participant observation, I have conducted research projects that explore how technology transforms work, how platforms are reshaping worker commitment and control over people's work, and how cultural intermediaries contribute to social inequalities through their evaluation of influence in the creator economies.  

My work has been supported by the American Sociological Association’s Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant and two internal fellowships awarded by Boston University. My research has been published in journals such as the Socio-Economic Review, Poetics, and Work & Occupations, and featured in ASA's Economic Sociology Section Newsletter.
